Blog 2- My development as a future leader
Leadership is the process of influencing others to understand and agree about what needs to be done and how to do it (Yukl,2010:26). Leadership is not only about the leader, it is also about how an individual builds confidence in his team. (Leading In a Changing World, 2012)
Leadership plays an important role in the business environment. There are different types of leadership some of them are:-

All leadership have its own importance where as I come from a country where autocratic leadership style in this leadership the power is in manager’s hand he takes all the decision in the team. Where as in United Kingdom democratic leadership style is used in this leadership style power is in the group they interact with each other and make decision.
My leadership brand
Academic theories helped me in developing my leadership skills. The most important thing I learnt here is to have patience and dedication towards the work this is an symbol of a good leadership. Activities run during our seminar helped me to develop my communication skills. While managing activities during MBA that helped me to adopt transformational leadership.

With the skills I learnt in academic that helped me to recognize difference between autocratic and transformational leadership. Working with in a team and working with the team members from different culture this added many more things to my knowledge. I was changing according to the situation as I had never worked in a team I came to know how efficiently work can be done in a team. Team members always motivated me this helped me to work effectively and helped me to manage situation and the upcoming challenges.

According to Bill Grace, 4v model of ethical leadership ethics plays an important role in leadership. With the help of 4v model I understand how the values, virtue, voice and vision are important in building a strong and ethical leader this model help me to pursue and fulfill my ethical leadership style. In order to developing myself as an future ethical leadership I am working on my own core values which will help to reach my goal as a future ethical leader. It also helped to set a clear vision towards my way to success.

Relevance of Leadership Brand to my Career
In my home country we have a family business I started working from the age of seventeen we are into retail clothing business. I decided to pursue MBA as my goal is to expand my retail business into manufacturing business. After completing my MBA my goal is to work in the top clothing industry of United Kingdom. As the nature of business is changing throughout the world currently the business environment in UK is dynamic in nature. As I mention in blog 1 how BREXIT has affected the business of Jaguar Land rover they should make an action plan and take decision for the future uncertainty.
After few years of job experience in UK I want to set up a manufacturing unit in my home country. In my country we have autocratic leadership style but I would like to approach transformational leadership helps to take decision and work in the team with a mutual understanding and this leadership style add value for creating a clear vision for success.
Current strength and development needs

Belbin’s team role is an effective way to know the strength and weakness of a team this helps the team to improve the performance of team (Belbin, 2012). According to Belbin’s team role model I am a Co-coordinator and team worker every team member has different qualities and different thoughts this makes the team. The team roles describe the characteristics and behavior of an individual for the progress of the team (Belbin, 2012).
According to the feedback from the team members one of the strength I have is to work in a team I prefer to work in a team rather than working alone. Working in a team listening to others thoughts and ideas makes the work more efficient. And weakness is not having a patience and lack of self confidence I get stress easily but while working in a team I am improving those skills.
Development plan
Listening to others is also one of my strength so sometimes it helps me to overcome on my weakness. As the feedback we got from the team members rather than criticizing the feedback we should take those in a positive way and work on the feedback because of my team members my patience are increasing. On the other hand using my own ideas I can improve my confidence to perform well by sharing thoughts and ideas with my team members this is increasing my confidence. Before going to professional life I am planning to develop these skills. I am improving myself and soon my weakness will convert in one of my strength.
